Digital Forensics

Technical Support

How we can help

Our digital forensics services team has over 8 years’ experience of investigating computers, mobile devices and other digital devices, for a variety of legal clients in criminal law, litigation, employment tribunals, intellectual property theft and road traffic accidents; as well as working with law enforcement agencies, corporates and private individuals.

Our experts are able to communicate highly technical and complex concepts  to a diverse range of audiences, as well as preparing reports suitable for use in court, including the Old Bailey. As such, our investigators have provided expert witness testimony in court and have been called upon to provide guidance and advice on a variety of cases including fraud, IP theft, computer misuse, malicious communication, importation of class A drugs,  human trafficking, murder and terrorism.

What we do

  • Provide expert advice on what can and can’t be achieved from a digital forensic examination, giving you the best value results from the agreed funding for a case
  • Retrieve both live and deleted data
  • Perform ‘standard’ analysis such as recovery of internet history records, local file access, recover email communication, report on the history of removable devices and determine how a file or files came to be on a computer
  • Extract ‘advanced’ data, including Skype communication, Facebook archives, investigate file sharing and cloud based applications such as DropBox, SkyDrive, GoogleDrive, BearShare and GigaTribe
  • Confirm the use of webmail such as Hotmail, Gmail and Yahoo! and attempt to recover webmail messages
As a direct result of your most excellent work, which proved without any doubt whatsoever that the memory card produced as a principal prosecution exhibit, could not have been the original memory card. Based upon those findings and following examination of a lap top hard drive proved to be damaged, an application to stay the prosecution was made at Crown Court which was successful and led to the prosecution offering no evidence in the case. This is an outstanding result and we thank you for your expert assistance in the case.
